Blood donation camps
Blood donation camps are regularly organized on the campuses. Students and teachers vigorously donate blood for the healthcare needs of the community.
Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan
Students of GianJyoti Institute of Management and Technology organized ‘Keep Your Campus Clean’ drive under SwachhataPakhwara. Around 50+ NSS volunteers, NCC cadets and Rotaractors of Rotaract Club GJIMT actively participated in the drive.
Hospital Waste Management
Students of GJIMT visited to the Govt. Hospital Phase-6, Mohali to know about how they depose off the Hospital waste. Doctors told to the students that they use 3 types of bins that we usefor the disposal of the Hospital waste.
Health and Hygiene Awareness Campaign:
GianJyoti Institute of Management and Technology organized Health and Hygiene Awareness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan in slum area opposite to Bassi Theatre in phase-2 Mohali. NSS volunteers along with the faculty members actively participated in the drive.In the full day activity in the slum area, NSS volunteers organized many learning and fun activities for the slum kids.
Tree Plantation
Tree Plantation by NSS and Rotaract was carried out to keep the campus GREEN. Around 20 planters were planted bythe volunteers in the campus.
Dr. Rachna Sharma Memorial Scholarship Donation for Meritorious Girl Students
Dr. Rachna Sharma was working with GJIMT as Asstt. Prof in HR when in 2014 at the young age of 34 years cruel hands of death snatched her from us after being diagnosed with blood cancer. The family members have volunteered to institutionalise the Dr. Rachna Sharma memorial Award and the topper female student of the outgoing MBA batch is given a cash reward of Rs. 5000 every year.
